How to use thecalculator

Follow these simple steps to calculate the protection suitable for your system and obtain the details needed for your order.

Panel dimensions

In thePanel dimensionsblock, enter the measurement in meters of thelong sideand theshort sideof the individual photovoltaic panel.

Perimeter to protect

To calculate the perimeter to protect, first look at how many panels are on the roof and how they are positioned.
Count only the sides of the panels that make up theexternal edgeof the area to protect, distinguishing between thelong sides of the paneland theshort sides of the panel.
Do not count the internal sides between adjacent panels, because they are not part of the external perimeter. The calculator will multiply the number of long sides by the measurement of the long side of the panel and the number of short sides by the measurement of the short side of the panel.
Example: if a group of panels has a single external perimeter made up of8 short sidesand4 long sides, these are the values to enter in the calculator.
If the panels are divided into several separate groups, calculate the perimeter of each group and then add the individual perimeters together to obtain the total meters to protect.

Protection height

Measure the distance between thelower edge of the photovoltaic paneland thegroove of the roof tile, meaning the lowest point where the comb will have to rest.

This measurement is used to identify the correct height of the comb to use.

Important:the comb must rest correctly on the roof covering and flex slightly, so as to close the space between the panel and the roof.

We recommend measuring at several points along the perimeter and always entering themaximum distance measured, especially when there are several perimeters to protect or uneven roofs.

Protection height:measure from the lower edge of the panel to the groove of the roof tile.

Aesthetic configuration

Select theclamp colorand, if required, thecomb color.

Type of protection

ChooseTOPif the system is already infested by birds.
ChooseBASICif the system is new or not infested.

Order details

In the green box you will find thenumber of kits neededand therecommended product code.
Before completing the order, you can request amaterial checkby sending the details to the technical department and completing the form with the system data.

Note:the calculation considers the external perimeter of the area to protect. The internal sides between adjacent panels must not be counted.

To ensure effective protection for the system, it is important to protectthe entire external perimeter, without leaving openings or uncovered sections. The comb must rest correctly on the roof covering and flex slightly. In the case of different heights along the perimeter, always consider the maximum measurement detected.
